Turned out better than I thought...Saturday was TERRIBLE and I was really concerned that we traveled from Florida for just this one show...but Sunday turned out OK. We had decided to stay in Maryland and do some sightseeing in Washington, DC and that worked out great...considering we urually would have left Sunday night...this way I was able to offer a customer to go to her house on Mon night and she wound up buying a piece from us.......
Glad to hear it turned out allright, Merri. That's a long drive for a terrible show. This also illustrates the advantages full time artists have over those who are on a strict schedule to be back at a job on Mondays -- you can not only take advantage of extending your trip to meet with those customers, you can add in some extra time to enjoy the sights of our country and indulge your passion for travel. Whenever we were out on the road, especially traveling between two shows, we'd plan an excursion for midweek. I don't know anyone who knows the ins and outs of this country, great places to visit, good food to eat, etc., better than artists who have these experiences. I think my friends (not artists) are a little tired of my saying when they have discovered a cool place, "oh yes, we did a show there."
