We all know this art fair business is full of frustration, fun, financial challenge, friends, and fascinating questions about what will happen next.
I'm sure you remember when you started in the business the helpfulness of other artists and the great tips you picked up "behind the booth." This was invaluable information that has built your business. Any chance you can "pay it forward?"
Wll you post a 2013 show review or two on ArtShowReviews.com? The reviews are coming in steadily but yours would be so appreciated.
It's easy and fast:
- Click this link www.ArtShowReviews.com
- Answer the questions - about 10 of them
- Sit back and receive the good karma. You've done your good deed for the day and your reward is on its way.
Here are some of the reasons artists have told us they post reviews:
I saw that there were no comments or reviews posted and I felt that this was a good show that deserved a review.I always review the big shows. More people should.I think it helps to know about shows. and hope others will post what shows they do as well.To help other artists.I've learned a lot from reading at this site and wanted to reciprocate.

I would have written a review of the DeLand (Florida) Fall Festival of the Arts (Nov 23/24), but that doesn't seem possible because it is not already on your list of art shows. They do most everything right to support the artists and even though my sales aren't usually over the moon, you feel respected and appreciated. Both judges took the time to introduce themselves and look at my work (even though I was the very last stop for one of them) and the show provides both a full hot breakfast AND lunch both Saturday and Sunday, with artist/patron parties both Friday and Saturday night. A few weeks before the show, the director even sent an email to "remind" artists that if they had a booth request, to please submit it. Now that's something you don't see often!
Also, if you ever submit a review and have trouble let us know. We will get on it right away. It is hard to figure out what happened a month later.
We've had some problems administering the show reviews site, not being able to find someone reliable to run it. But have solved that now. I found the most reliable person: me.
Thanks for the bunch of reviews we've just received. I hope to have them live on the site by tomorrow.
Thanks Kim and Roxanne.
Roxanne, When you fill out the information other sections pop up, keep scrolling down. There is a "capcha" to fill in and then a submit. Honest.
I tried to submit a review, but when I was all done for some reason I couldn't find any button to click to submit it. Maybe the page didn't load right. I will try again later.
I just added one from my best show this summer :)
