Has anyone attended this art fair? (46th annual). It's the day after a one week vacation and I'm wondering if it would be worth my while after a 7 hour road trip the day before. Appreciate any info you may have. I make whimsical dog leash hangers and wood coin banks.
It was a hot miserable day and the cooking tent with grills of hamburgers / brats was right in front of my tent. The smoke kept blowing in my face and the horrid smell of carcasses cooking (Im not a meat eater!!!).
I have fine art and hand painted silk scarves, and it seemed to me that there were more craft oriented booths, lawn art, etc, from what I observed while heading to use the restroom. There were alot of families with small children walking around, but I didn't see them with many bags of purchases.
If you make jewelry, it might be a good place for you to go. Jewelry seems to fit in at most fairs these days. The lady that makes the dog leashes........you may do well also.
For the Ladies who did this show last year...what did you think? Is it worth it? I am a jewelry artist and don't really have anything going on in July. I like the fact that it's a one-day only. Would you recommend it?
I have not done this show either, but will be participating in it for the first time tomorrow. It will also be my first OUTDOOR show, so I'll leave a comment here afterwards and let you know what it was like.
