Just looking for comments and insight into the show in St. Charles this coming weekend. I have signed up and looking forward to it, but there is very little information out there. They say they get 90,000 attendees. Any comments would be appreciated. Set-up? Sales? any advice is appreciated.
Hi Lawrence, I am also in the show this coming weekend. I have learned to take the numbers any show posts with a grain of salt. It is on the street in old town St. Charles. There are many events in this area so in general all are pretty well attended. If the weather is great the people will be there. It is one of my favorite shows. Usually you have to pick up your packet at the far north end of the street at the Foundry Art Center. You can not drive on on Main Street to get there. Use either the River side drive or the street to the west of Main street going north till you get to the Foundry. Sorry I don't know street names, I don't live in St. Charles. On the whole if the weather is good the sales are good, like most shows. After you get your packet you come back around on one of those streets and enter at First Capitol street to go to your spot. You can park in the vicinity of your spot and unload then move your vehicle. Parking is on adjacent streets wherever you find a spot, no set parking spot. Lots of places to eat on the street, some street food, good coffee shop (Picasso's) many places for night life after hours. Hope this helps.
