The Summer Celebration in Muskegon, MI has been canceled for 2012. Art in the Park was held the final 3 days of the event. While this show was not huge in terms of fine art, the event drew 100,000 plus each year. Another group may try to rescue the art show portion, but I have doubts on it' s chances without the big crowds. Sad to another one go.
Amazing! Someone(s) must have put their heads together and determined that it was a good economic support. This is just about the first time that a show has been dropped and then picked up again so quickly. Bet heads were rolling in Muskegon.
Lo and behold, The Art in the Park Show has been put back in place! I received an email with a link to the show website http://muskegonartinthepark.com/?page_id=9 . They are asking all aplicants to submit images unlike the old system where you could apply without doing so if you had done the show the previous year. Just thought I would pass on the info.
First show I ever did. Won third in the show, made about $1200. We had a great time, but there was a lot of tire kicking going on. The community has been struggling for a while now.

This is a surprise. This show has been around for a long time. Thanks for this update, Steve.
