What could be better: a wonderful setting, great weather, enthusiastic crowd and show promoters who care. Oh, I forgot the best thing great business. It more than exceeded our expectations!
I also did this showfor my first time (metal sculptures) and I must say perfect setting, wealthy neighborhood, easy set up and breakdown and best of all made a lot of money. Definitely a show I will do next year. I will also display at the Brookdale Park Oct 15th,16th.
Maybe you could find another artist who would be willing to split days with you. It seems that if you got in a show and only could do one day, it wouldn't be fair to someone else who might not have gotten in because of your acceptance, but could have done both days.
Oh sorry I'm not sure I remember sorry:-). It is discrimination because is does not give me an equal opportunity as an artist.
As for the business side, they can put me outside the tent or at a last spot where you wouldn't even be able to tell some one is not here. That way nobody think they have an empty space,I do that all the time with other shows and I had no complaints not so ever. I honestly think this isn't fair.
You are going to have to do 1 day shows. They cannot leave a gap in their booths on the day you do not attend. I think we met at the Har Zion show. It is not dicrimination, it is good business pratices for the producer to have their show look 'full'.
I would of love to do this shows but unable to work on Saturdays I am willing to pay for both days but they wouldn't let me come although I get to acceptated to good shows in other place, this is so forstrating for me since I live ne'er Montclair and really would like to do their shows. I really fill discriminated since I can't work on sturdays due to my religion. Do you guys know any other good shows I can try to apply around NJ /NY area ?
I agree! This two day show is as good as some of the three day shows I do. The weather was perfect but I have done well there even in the rain... tho not as well as when it's dry! Because there is no admission, and the park is in a great neighborhood, I think many folks make multiple trips, after checking their closets or walls! I was concerned about going back for the 4th year in a row but my regulars still buy and the new customers keep coming. I had many people ask me if I was going to be at Brookdale Park, which is in a few weeks. I'm not, because I have another winner that w/e, but clearly the Roses have a following and draw the crowds! What's not to love?
We did better than average sales, already one repeat customer and 1 already purchased wholesale account. Resturants and nearby, regular bathrooms, plenty of room between booths ah and did I mention again hok kind Howard and Janet from Rose Squared are? Waited to let us set up after being stuck in traffice, directed us to a nice place to eat. Was concerned about our sales and comfort. Did I miss anything... oh yes a real buying crowd.

Thant's an Idea. so if any one reads this and want to share the show I'd be more than happy, but I'm not sure they will agree to that.
Thank you.
They can at list give me a chance to do it once and see if it that works for all sides, but they are not even willing to that.
