Here is a little more commentary from the Orlando Sentinel about this show, including a bunch more prizewinners:

I am not sure if anyone reviewed the show yet, so I guess I will add my two cents here. Friday the weather was rainy and although warm(coming from Knoxville, Tennessee, it was just nice to cross into Florida) it was a 7:15 set up that was dark but doable. Some people get the 5 o'clock set up but they were strict about letting people in and unless you dollied in, there was no earlier set ups allowed. Saturday was overcast and a bit rainy but the crowds came out. Big time. The problem was, at least for me, they were not buying big items. It seems to me from my fellow artists that nobody did any really big sales. Sunday was warm and sunny and the crowds were there in full force-even with the Super Bowl being a deterrent. It didn't matter- nobody could ever fault the Mt. Dora people for not getting the crowds there...it's just that they weren't buying. My whole row said they were down from last year. I did almost triple last year of what I did this year.....although it was nice last year to add prize money to the total. Even so, I was stumped to understand what happened. An award winning watercolorist and prize winner said he was way down too and a glass artist, a potter and a jeweler said the same. Shame, because we were all there hoping for the cash cow it was last year. Tear down was easier than last year and everyone seems to be almost gone by 8:30. The people running the show are gracious, booth sitters are plentiful and truly, the crowds were there but it just kind of ran flat for me. The best part was being next to some incredible artists that kept me laughing and made the show a joy to do. Thanks guys- Chester, Keith and Laura....you all were a blast to be with.
