What are the best things about art fairs

Getting to meet the people (artists and customers alike). Learning new skills and making new connections


Best show ever and why

A one-day inside affair put on by a woman's group in a community where creativity and talent flourishes. Not only did I sell a lot, but the people were fun and appreciative.


Worst show ever and why

I had set up my tent the night before. It stormed all night and the next morning when I arrived to get ready the water was up to my knees, the tent a mangled mess and the whole area a disaster. With the help of others, everyone regrouped and persevered. It was cold, rainy and muddy all day. I sold two things. It makes a good story, though.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I reinvent myself every 20 years or so, but always with the arts involved in some way. I've been an educator, ballroom dance instructor, artist, painter, graphic designer, and recently farmer and artistic crafter.

    • Many topics have already been discussed. We suggest you try a search of your topic before you post your question. Click the SEARCH tab at the top of the page and “search” for your topic: tents, jury fees, Ann Arbor Art Fair, the name of a show, etc. You might find that someone has already asked and answered your question.
