Best show ever and why
Mount Horeb, WI 2012. 165 artists and I won best of show in fine art. Totally amazed me.
Worst show ever and why
I carved a 22 inch bass for a carving competition and made a driftwood mount (carved pieces of pine into shape I wanted, screwed it together, aged the wood with a torch and painted it) . Judge ruled me ineligible to compete because I had used real drift wood. No convincing him otherwise. I should have scrapped some paint off I suppose, but who'd buy the carving.
