First show ever
My first show ever was at the South Bay Art Association in Redondo Beach, California when I was ten years old.
What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting all the vendors and customers
Best show ever and why
Exhibiting with the 101 Artists Colony in Enicintas, California. It was the best show ever, because I exhibited with artists of multiple talents and we all supported and appreciated one another. Our talents ranged from singers, musicians, dancers, comedians, sculptors, painters, glass artists, culinary artists etc.
Worst show ever and why
At a church in Olympia, Washington; I was a member of, the pastor arranged a committee of myself and two female art teachers. One was an art teacher at a local Christian school. The other woman was a retired art teacher from the same Christian school. The pastor talked about the show for several years and consulted with members of the church. When I became a member of the church, the pastor invited me to be on the art committee. We developed a theme in a few months, set a deadline and hung the show. The retired art teacher got mad and took all of her art down. The current art teacher made excuses with personal challenges and expected me to frame her art at my cost, since I know how to frame artwork. The pastor got upset with me, since the two artists were upset and called him. He told me that they were both his friends, since he had known them longer. He told me to take all of my artwork down and they were going to change the theme. He put the retired art teacher in charge as the leader of the art committee.
