What are the best things about art fairs

Having the chance to meet directly with the people who buy my work to know exactly what they want. Having those people validate what I do by purchasing my work.


Best show ever and why

State College Festival of the Arts. I've become friends with the locals, they've driven three hours to my home, when I'm there in town they come over to help me set up, they bring me fruit and baked goods, they help me man my booth, they help me tear down and load up my car. They are the best ever. The customers come from all over the country to attend the show.


Worst show ever and why

Manayunk. Funny thing about that show. It holds my all time best record for one day sales and also the record for the worst one day sales. I still do it because my friend lives nearby cutting my costs and I'm still hoping for a repeat of the best one day ever. This show is all over the board with sales.

    • Many topics have already been discussed. We suggest you try a search of your topic before you post your question. Click the SEARCH tab at the top of the page and “search” for your topic: tents, jury fees, Ann Arbor Art Fair, the name of a show, etc. You might find that someone has already asked and answered your question.
