First show ever
Can't remember the name of the first. The first large show I did was the Newport News Fall Festival of Folk Life in Newport News Virginia.
What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting people, both artists and customers.
Best show ever and why
Best show is a hard one. I've done some good ones. The Gosport Art Show in Portsmouth VA is a very good show to do. The organizers take very good care of the artists. Sales this past year, 201, were my best in years too!
Worst show ever and why
Volunteer Alexandria, Alexandria Va. The promoters didn't seem to care about the artist. Parking was non existent near by, unless you wanted to get a ticket. I had to park two blocks away and dolly my work to stairs then carry items up the stairs. My booth was location had a bolted down concrete bench and a trash can in it. I was told to work around it and incorporate it into my display.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
No one. I came across it on line while searching for something else, pro panels for sale.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I always keep my sense of humor. Even when things aren't going quite right.
