Years in the Art Fair Business

First show ever

with my own tent June 2007 at a Covered Bridge Festival. Sept 2006 I shared a huge tent with an artist group I belonged to.

What are the best things about art fairs

Best thing is meeting the people who enjoy your work and making connections with them.

Best show ever and why

New Hope Arts Festival 2007. The show is always well run and a great venue. They have an opening night on Friday's for all arts and crafters with food, wine, music. But because of the economy, the last fantastic sales I had there was Sept 2007. I still do the show every year and don't plan to stop.

Worst show ever and why

There was one outdoor show that was created specifically to raise money for an organization. Each artist was asked to donate a small piece for the auction that would be held that day. It turned out that even though all the vendors were setup outside in the park, the people that came were there for the auction that instead of only being held for a short time frame, was held all day long. So many vendors so nothing at all.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

I probably found it from Larry Berman's Artshow Photo group. I had an account here before but your system didn't seem to find me even though I receive newsletters, so rejoining.
