What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting people and sharing guitar stories. Helping people with guitar repair and design questions. Jam sessions with visitors. Meeting fellow artists and getting inspired by the limitless talent you encounter. Traveling and getting on the road. Making some money is always good too :)
Best show ever and why
2014 Ventura 4th of July Street Fair. Sold my high-end Pirate Guitar, Mandola, a Cigar Box guitar and cigar box amp. Met some great people from guitar making companies who liked my work and shared some resources to improve my guitar building and sales.
Worst show ever and why
A Comic Con near Lake Castaic Oct 2016. Organizer promised crowds. It was pretty bleak, no sales for two days. We worked hard to get inventory ready in time for show.
