What are the best things about art fairs
making new contacts with buyers as well as vendors. Trading with other artists
Best show ever and why
Sun Valley Center Arts and Crafts Festival--great sales, sophisticated shoppers who apprecited fine craft
Worst show ever and why
A show at Hidden Springs, just outside of Boise. It had been a fall harvest festival, and the promoters wanted artists, too. It was nearby, and inexpensive. Most booths sold things like ribbons that were hot-glued onto bobbi pins, etc. I make one of a kind pottery. Didn't sell a thing the first day, decided to pack up the second day when it began pouring rain. Just awful show
