What are the best things about art fairs
Enjoying meeting other people (artists and buyers) and enjoying the wonderful work of other artists!
Best show ever and why
Mt. Dora Fall Arts & Crafts Festival - while overwhelming and exhausting (huge amounts of people - long drive - late night set up), blasted all sales records, make some wonderful connections (with other artists, clients, and others wanting to display my work in their shops), Definitely will come again.
Worst show ever and why
It's a tie - Don't really want to say the names because it certainly wasn't their fault. TERRIBLE weather at both only an hour or two into the show. One had two horrendous thunderstorm cells that blew down everything (my stuff mostly survived - others didn't), and the other had a tornadic event that took down trees, powerlines and twisted tents into metal and canvas sculptures - again survived but was lucky to escape injury as tables were flipped, branches flew through my tent, some items destroyed and all soaked. NIGHTMARE!
