What are the best things about art fairs
Direct contact with my customers and no middle-man when it comes to making the sale.
Best show ever and why
Contemporary Hispanic Market, Santa Fe NM. This is a straight up art market. People come to this market expecting to purchase artwork. Art collectors come from all around the world. I don't care much about artist amenities and this particular event offers none. But sales are stellar for me here and last year I had a complete sell out.
Worst show ever and why
The Bluegrass Festival in Casa Grande Arizona. They allowed pre-manufactured items in this event. I make 40 bucks for the entire weekend while the people next to me completely sold out. Oh, they sold Made in China resin figurines of dancing bears and fishing frogs.
