First show ever
Years ago, I did a few small art fairs. At this point, I am investing in doing it more regularly.
What are the best things about art fairs
I like the transient build-a-world nature of it and the community of artists that choose that path. You get to be outside and if not, either way, you get to meet lots of people that are supportive of the arts. I also appreciate sharing my work.
Best show ever and why
I love doing shows. I don't have a best. It has been a while since I've done an art fair. I have had shows at galleries and curated a few. I enjoyed a couple of holiday sales last year.
Worst show ever and why
I don't have a worst either. I don't really look at it that way. It's tough when venues aren't really prepared to accommodate space-wise in that they try to pack too many vendors into a space or don't advertise as well as they could.

My friend Cherie Haney. She has participated in art fairs for years and has always encouraged me to do so as well. So far, I just sell my paintings through social media as they are finished and work with people who request commissions but I'd like to expand my reach and think that art fairs would be a good next step.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I write songs and perform them.
