First show ever
Daylily Festival, Gray, GA
What are the best things about art fairs
Selling my art. Meeting great people. Seeing other artist's work. Traveling and seeing other communities.
Best show ever and why
Fayetteville Festival of the Arts, GA - the best net profit, greatest folks who put on the event, huge support from the community, excellent load in/out, accommodations and great downtown restaurant/bar.
Worst show ever and why
Shelter Cove, Hilton Head. Howard Alan show. Only saw one sign on the entire island, No check-in, information, reception by anyone. Poorly laid out. Two classes - have and have not - those that had shade and said they sold and the rest of us on uneven stone site in the blistering sun. Even though there were unoccupied shady areas. No visits by organizers. The person in the booth next to us said she got a free tent to "host", but she was really not approachable and her mother in the rear of the tent was very rude. Parking was a mile away. Lesson learned - don't go there again.

Hi Maryllis, Welcome to the Georgia Artists group. We are very new and hoping to collect show information that may help some of our artists.
Have a great day.
