What are the best things about art fairs
It's how we make our living! And we like making a living. So a "best thing" is that people still attend shows and people still like to buy in person. But that is changing. About 75% of our income comes from doing shows.
Best show ever and why
We have a local following, so our best shows are near home base (Milwaukee and Madison). Madison's Art Fair on the Square was probably the best ever in recent history: the show has a fine reputation, huge crowds, patrons have high education level and disposable income.
Worst show ever and why
A local recurring pop-up type show in a park – the last of the season. We sold one thing. Glad it was local. Won't do it again.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
No specific person, just the reputation of solid info and artist forum at this site. Haven't been disappointed. Always appreciate when Connie weighs in with commentary – I like her balanced approach and insights. Knowing she heads this up helps me trust the value of the information
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I take myself too seriously :)
