What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting the people that buy your art in person. Getting all the wonderful good energy from the people who love your work. And making money to keep making art.
Best show ever and why
Fort worth. First time I made lots of $$$ And the second time I found my little dog Layla (aka lil mama) running the streets. We did not find her home we tried and brought her home with us and she turned out pregnant so we now have added to our pack two little dogs we adore Laya and Osi. Layaway is called lil mama because she's 8lbs and her baby is 12lbs.
Worst show ever and why
Tie between forsythia festival (turned out to be in tiny town and every one kept saying they can get art cheaper at Walmart, never seen so many people even babies, little girls and old ladies in camouflage out fits. Fort worth art festival (paragon show) I thought it was the main street show I was very very wrong. I drove 12 hours there and 12 back home for only about 500 attendance and was sooooo passed. Nassau arts festival in long Island. Drove to long Island from Altanta GA for 1000 attendance and a petting zoo two booth from me. Ofcourse sales sucked. And the bridge and toll fees are ridiculous.
