First show ever
Lunenburg Summer Craft Fair. Can't tell you how unprepared we were with booth or lack there of. Was told by someone everything was there and just needed to set up. Got there to a chalk number in the middle of the floor. Found a lumber mill and got them to cut and put pieces together for us. Boy did we learn, that was 10 years ago and we still burst into laughter to this day.
What are the best things about art fairs
What I enjoy most is talking to the customers and other crafters. It's a great learning experience.
Best show ever and why
My best show would have been one of our big Christmas Craft Fairs. It's held every year. Obviously it is the one we do our best sales at and that keeps us going for the winter. Also have developed great relationships with the fellow crafters and look forward to seeing each other. The major reason that makes it so good is how well it is organized and run.
Worst show ever and why
The worst show was in Halifax at Christmas. It was the first year for this show, it was away out of town, wasn't well advertised,no parking to speak of and a total failure all around. That particular promoter is now out of business.
