What are the best things about art fairs
People watching. Making money (cause we are all going to get rich doing this hahahahaha). If I were home, I'd just be doing laundry.
Best show ever and why
Des Moines June 2011. Great sales and traffic, fun neighbor. My BFF came to town to help me out and we had a blast!
Worst show ever and why
Local "ART" show in an Omaha nightclub. One of the women was selling teddy bears made from clothing that had belonged to her dead child (so she said). The promoter "advertised" the venue by walking around downtown Omaha with hand lettered (and badly spelled) sandwich boards over her baby's stroller. Yes, the baby was INSIDE the stroller, underneath the signs. It does make for a good story at least.
