What are the best things about art fairs
The best things about art fairs is that there may be several jewelry booths, but they are all different. The creativity is amazing when it is all handmade. The artists I have met have all been welcoming and helpful since I am new to the scene. There seems to be a family among the artists that go to the same shows and fairs.
Best show ever and why
My best show ever was the Pacific Grove Good Ol' Days Celebration last year. It was my first BIG show, and it made me fall in love with fairs/festivals. My work was well accepted and led to invitations to other festivals and fairs.
Worst show ever and why
Son-Rise Easter Boutique in Newman, CA. The show was advertised as a handmade show, but there were mostly retail and even garage-sale type booths. I made one sale, because I couldn't compete with the cheap quality reproduction work ordered out of the country which could be purchased at a fraction of the prices of my handmade jewelry.

What is one fun fact about yourself?
I am a high school math and science teacher who uses my passion for making metal jewelry as an outlet to unwind from my days of teaching. The more difficult my day, the better texturing I get on the metal!
