Bead Show in Fort Worth
What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting people and talking about my work with them. People are always interested that I actually make all my beads by melting glass! This actually entices them to purchase an item...
Best show ever and why
Jazz by the Boulevard in Fort Worth, Texas. This show has consistently been my best as far as the amount sold as well as having buyers that actually understand that everything is handmade and is unique. All the vendors at this show are actually artists and actually make all items they sell. Nothing is buy/sell.
Worst show ever and why
Longview Alleyfest in Longview, Texas. This was the worst show ever and should be called ChinaFest. Out of the approximately 100 "artists", there were probably 10 that actually were artists. Everything else was junk purchased for resale - and I do mean junk.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
Rena Klingenberg's website listed this and this is actually the best website for art shows that I have found (with the Longview Alleyfest being the exception!).
