First show ever
Old Town Spring, in Spring, Texas in 1988 was the first time I showed my artwork. I had done numerous trade fairs and state fairs for a large company for a number of years before.
What are the best things about art fairs
You get immediate feedback about your artwork, and it's great to meet the people.
Best show ever and why
Michael Martin Murphy's Westfest in 1996 at Copper Mountain, Colorado, was probably my best show ever. My jewelry has a definate Western look, and that crowd spent money.
Worst show ever and why
My first experience at the Buyers Market of American Craft (The Rosen Show) in Philadelphia. Many galleries shop there, and tho I met a number if nice gallery owners, many were very rude. The entire show has a slickness and sameness that I find boring.
