What are the best things about art fairs
The ability to interact directly with the client and answer any questions they might have, as well as tell them the story behind the image.
Best show ever and why
I only did two and both were a bust.
Worst show ever and why
San Anselmo, CA. I had countless clients come into the booth and tell me I had the best work in the festival... yet only made one sale for $125... not even recovering the $450 booth fee. My prices were half of the price my work sold for in out of town galleries and I had sales invoices to prove it. My work was also beautifully framed at this 50% discount, yet it still didn't sell.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
I googled art fairs and Art Fair Insiders came up.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I've been told by many that my stories about how the image was captured were the very thing that closed the sale and made the client want to learn more about me.
