Yancey County Spring Craft Fair
What are the best things about art fairs
Making friends with other creative souls and selling to people who appreciate our hard work, talent and creativity. It makes me very happy when someone wants to wear a piece I made and puts it on immediately.
Best show ever and why
Mt. Mitchell Arts and Craft Fair, Burnsville NC Many visitors who were also purchasing. Location in the mountains, great planning and staffing for vendor traffic set up and teardown. Mix of food vendors, music and crafters was well balanced.Happy visitors. No entrance fee.
Worst show ever and why
Spruce Pine BBQ and Bluegrass Festival. Spruce Pine, NC $13 per person entrance fee on Friday & $18 per person on Saturday. Families didn't have much $ left to shop. Lousy music, only one good band. Visitor traffic was supposed to be about 7,000 but with new entrance fees dropped to less than 1,000.
