What are the best things about art fairs
I like getting out of the studio and enjoying the people and outdoors.
Best show ever and why
Warrens Cranberry Festival... My best show ever in sales... I hated the show... Both years I've been there it has rained... Lots of crafts and buy sell... The customers almost always try to bargain. Artists are stuck in an area by themselves which is good, but is bad because it is a central location that is not good.
Worst show ever and why
Gleensheen Art Fair in Duluth, MN and Sedona Festival of Arts, AZ... Both shows had horrible attendance... Both shows did a great job attracting quality artists... Both shows fail to get quality art buyers. The hair on my neck always raises when all the artists in booths around me are first year artists to the show which was the case at both of these shows this year, 2010.
