What are the best things about art fairs
meeting people who love handcrafts-- both makers and buyers.
Best show ever and why
Comic Con art shows-- don't have to "sit" at a booth... set up is for 4 days, with sales/paperwork/security covered by the staff, the crowd (and staff) is fun, and I've never had anything "evaporate" at those shows (which has happened at every other venue I've tried).
Worst show ever and why
the one at a local school-- i went to their "preview for the news" session-- had a ring stolen by one of the kids pulled to "look like shoppers". Then, what was SUPPOSED to be "local handcrafts" (per the application), was over half buy-sell/MLM vendors. Hard to compete with "everything $5" jewelry and $10 t-shirts. Sold nothing, and was out the time, application fee, and the stolen ring.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
I've been on the email list for a long time-- not sure how I found out about it originally.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
?? Probably depends on what you consider "fun"....
