What are the best things about art fairs
The chance to promote great art and artists! It is vital I think to showcase your city by showing that it does support the art community which tends to be it's very heart and soul. I know my personal best experience in co-founding this event was meeting all of the artist and being exposed to their wonderful talents.
Best show ever and why
The very first in 2003. My co-founder and I didn't really know what we were getting into at first[or we might have ran!] There was something very special about seeing it almost take on a life of it's own. We created it but now it was an entity that we were the caretakers of. It is a lot of hard work and we do not get paid it is strictly volunteer and I think it has probably kept it's purity because of that.
Worst show ever and why
Well it is an outdoor show so......... Rain! We had always had beautiful sunny autumn days for the festival and then last time [2009- it is biennial] we took a break and left it in the hands of a couple of new co-chairs. They did not do a rain date. Do you think that was a sign? LOL!

David and Veronica Bennett. They do glass and found object sculptures that are amazing! As a matter of fact they were our best in show for a couple of years. They had their best sale day EVER at their very first ARTSfest!
