First show ever
Venice Avenue
What are the best things about art fairs
The people are looking for art as opposed to exhibits where people just want to look.
Best show ever and why
Venice / Nokomis Rotary Good attendance at the show, lots of people coming into my booth, good conversations, sales
Worst show ever and why
UTC - bad tent location, poor attendance, most were just lookers.

What is one fun fact about yourself?
Did professional sports photography in the Detroit area in youth. I was team photographer for the Pistons for several seasons, worked for Tigers, Red Wings, Detroit Race Course (publicity and PR photo) and did the Indy 500 for Ford.

Yep, winter is still not fun here in Michigan, especially if you're not into winter sports (I'm not). My winter activities are knitting and watching movies on Netflix. I'm glad you've adjusted to life in warmer climes...do you ever miss the changing seasons though? Thanks for keeping in touch, any shows coming up?
Best wishes, Connie Mettler

I had forgotten about the Good Housekeeping Shop, but now that you mention it, it does ring a bell. It sounds beautiful where you are but I couldn't handle the heat, it's too hot here in the summertime, I can't imagine being somewhere even hotter. Hope you adjust to it but I know Michigan would welcome you back with open arms...
That is just so cool, Jim...I live in Ferndale! We moved back after living in Coldwater for 15 years and running a B&B in our restored Queen Anne. We have two new grandsons here and we just love being so close to them and to Detroit where there's lots of fun and exciting stuff going on...new restaurants opening every week, Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo at the D.I.A. It's really great to be back...
Hi Jim,
Welcome to AFI! We're delighted to have you join us and I'm especially impressed by your "fun facts" as a native Detroiter. BTW, today is opening day for the Tigers! Thanks for signing up and best of luck to you as you begin this new chapter.
