Hi Jim, thanks for your comments ... au contraire, photographers are some of the most successful exhibitors at art fairs, only exceeded by the jewelers. People understand photography, usually it is in the more affordable range, and if you've got something to show that hasn't already been seen, a fresh point of view and style, it really can work. Having said that though, it is one of the toughest categories to jury into because so many photographers are out there and the competition is very tough. Please visit some of the websites of the big art festivals, Cherry Creek Art Festival, St. Louis Art Fair, etc., and look at the images of the photographers who have been accepted to those events and you'll get a more thorough view.
