First show ever

I did a show with a friend of mine in a small town in Texas. We had made teddy bears from mohair and old chenille bedspreads. The mohair bears were jointed and could be posed in various positions. All the bears were adorable, but we didn't do well, but I like to think we learned about participating in art shows.

What are the best things about art fairs

Besides being able to sell my work, I enjoy meeting and talking with all the people that come into my booth.

Best show ever and why

Red River, NM Oktoberfest - The crowd wanted to have fun, visit with the vendors and were not hesitant to make purchases if you had something they loved.

Worst show ever and why

The show was in Aspen, CO. It was one of my first photography shows and I didn't sell but one photograph. There were a ton of vendors, but most of the people who came to the show were just looking. There didn't live in Aspen, had flown in for the weekend and weren't able to take larger items on the plane home.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

There was a link on the Pro Panels website that took me to your site.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

Besides jewelry and photography, I am an avid birder and love taking photos of birds. Two of my award winning photos are of eagles swooping in to catch fish in Kachemak Bay, Alaska.
