First show ever

A small charity event at the PA Wolf Sanctuary. It rained and only 5 artists actually showed. For the first year I have limited myself to small events as part of the learning curve.

What are the best things about art fairs

I enjoy the chance to meet people, make new friends and possibly make some money. When someone looks at a photo I have taken and I hear oohs and aahs I know that I have done my work as a photographer. You can't eat the praise but it sure makes you feel good.

Best show ever and why

So far, it was the Columbia PA Art, Antiques and Crafts show in June of '09. That was where I learned that people actually like my work and were willing to pay for it.

Worst show ever and why

Hanover PA Dutch Festival. It was hot and muggy, no one was buying and a food vendor had a very noisy generator set up two booths down. That was bad enough, but when we tried to get them to at least rearrange things so that we could hear ourselves talk they became rather nasty. Won't be going back to that one.
