2009 Flint Art Fair~I sold a new piece never before exhibited to a millionaire benefactor of the Flint Institute of Arts.
Worst show ever and why
Universalist Church Art & Crafts Show in Flint, MI January 2009. More crafts than art, low attendance. Sales were 6 cents less than the rental cost, plus food and drink on a miserably cold day. Upon bemoaning this wretched event friends sent me a 3 x 5 card with a nickel and a penny taped to it. I have it posted in my studio as a reminder for a good laugh every now and then.
