First show ever
The first Art Show that I remember was in Mill Run PA probably 1973. I did a show in Pittsburgh PA with fused glass in 1974. The first big show I exhibited in was ACC Rhinebeck 1982.
What are the best things about art fairs
The people that you meet - the public and the other artists. I also enjoy getting intimate with a unique little bit of planet earth each show weekend - its culture, its people, its terrain and its food.
Best show ever and why
For being among the most creative craftspeople ever nothing could top the ACC Rhinebeck Show in 1982. To be accepted into this group was a great honor.
Worst show ever and why
The one thats freshest in my mind was the four long hot days I spent in the Utah Arts Festival in Salt Lake City in 2008. Sales were dismal and we had to set up in the dark. There have been many others but the pain seems to disappear with time.
