What are the best things about art fairs

Sharing the art I produce, meeting new people, both clients and other artists, and exchanging ideas.

Best show ever and why

Friends of the Library Museum Crafts Fair. The show had large crowds who were very interactive with the artists. We spoke to many other artists and even had some repeat business from past clients. While the show wasn’t the larger dollar volume in sales, it was well run, the artist had more space around their tents, and was very well attended with shoppers.

Worst show ever and why

This was a private show done in a store which was celebrating Earth Day. Our presence was not promoted, and customers were not interested in looking at our art. We used this as an opportunity to talk to customers about their likes, dislikes, and gather any feedback about our art that would help for future shows.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I went to college and was a metalsmithing major, but worked most of my career in Finance, and then as a diamond buyer, and after retirement learned the art of Stained Glass.
