First show ever

Winter Gift Market, Logan UT--I was personally invited to exhibit/sell by one of the organizers who saw my work at the local community art center's boutique.

What are the best things about art fairs

The best things about art fairs are: 1. Clientele/customers come expecting artistically designed, one-or-a-kind pieces and knowing that artistic pieces are worth the asking price. 2. Great inspiration can be derived from the customers' requests and comments. 3. The well-organized and advertised ones are down right FUN. I've never left one of these wishing I'd done something else with my weekend.

Best show ever and why

Art on The Lawn, North Logan, UT is my favorite and best show ever. I've shown at it for 5 out of 6 years. It is held on the grounds of an historic cabin and the organizer saves the space under an old knarly apple tree (christened the "Knapple Tree" last year) for me. I can't use my canopy but have great fun designing displays to hang from the limbs of the tree. I have repeat customers every year--one starts her Christmas shopping with me every June. This is a superbly organized show. Volunteers are present to help with set-up, tear-down AND valet-parking of vendors' vehicles. There are possibilities to participate in a separate silent auction that is an added part of this events fund-raising for local art programs. There is coffee, juices, and pastries/muffins provided during the morning set-up period. Tickets are given for a hot dog and all-day sodas from the food truck. From the length of this you can see I LOVE this event!

Worst show ever and why

Perhaps it has been my good luck or my careful checking out of events, but I do NOT have a worst show.
