What are the best things about art fairs
The people I have met! Both the artists themselves and the committed, interested, invested art show supporters. There is nothing like it! In only two years, I have made so many wonderful like minded new friends.
Best show ever and why
I have had many wonderful shows so this is not easy but all things considered, Guilford Craft Expo in Guilford, CT. The location is beautiful and draws a committed crowd who are knowledgeable about the show as well as strollers who come here for vacation and just happened upon it. So well organized and people are wonderful!
Worst show ever and why
I hate being critical but Paradise City in Northampton was not a good show for me. It had such a great reputation and I was thrilled to have been accepted, but the crowds simply were not there. Besides the expense, the location was in a huge metal farm building and it was over 100 degrees and the temperature was not at all controlled. The crowds were much smaller than anyone had hoped and the heat situation in the building was no help once people were there. I lost a good bit of money and other artists were also having a hard time making expenses. For me, this show did not live up to its reputation.
