First show ever
A tiny church-sponsored holiday event in Hamilton, NJ.
What are the best things about art fairs
Opportunity to talk to potential clients, watching people, getting feedback.
Best show ever and why
Wheaten Boutique - Wheaten Terrier National Specialty - Lots of interested customers (couldn't keep my racks stocked!). Got a number of solid commission orders, and some ideas for new designs.
Worst show ever and why
A holiday event at a school over thanksgiving weekend - 3 day show (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). I think 5 people came to the show (not counting the vendors)... I think 2 vendors stopped by to chat. I didn't have that friday off from my day job, so I had to take an unpaid day... lost table cost, regular pay, no sales...
