What are the best things about art fairs
I really like the interaction with people. I get to see/hear the reaction to my work.
Best show ever and why
Gulf Shores Alabama, one year after a hurricane hit the Gulf. (not Katrina) The people were so excited about being able to put damages/ stress behind them for just a while and relax and enjoy. Sales were out of sight!
Worst show ever and why
Conyers Ga Cherry Blossom festival. Set up/site was great. A very loud, abusive group decided to "squat" next to my booth. They informed me they didn't have to pay booth fees under freedom of speech. They became so aggressive I asked for help from the organisers. The organisers were intimidated by the group, police talked with the group - in the end- the group stayed.
