What are the best things about art fairs
The people who are drawn into my booth because they like what they see! Art Fairs magnetize people who love to live with art and their input as well as their direct purchases are wonderful opportunities to evaluate and grow as an artist.
Best show ever and why
Probably the KPFA Fine Arts and Crafts Fair in San Francisco (now called the Craneway Art Fair), because it was well organized and they had a huge loyal following of art lovers for the show. It was wonderful to travel from Aspen to San Francisco to participate in the show too!
Worst show ever and why
A Christmas Affair at the Convention Center next to the Cowboys' Stadium run by the Junior League of Arlington, Texas. So many Texas Junior League Holiday Shows are amazing venues for sales, but unfortunately this expensive show was not well attended at all. I suspect that it was not advertised well, although some women I know from Fort Worth and Dallas said that no one wanted to shop in Arlington especially after the Stadium was built there. Dallas people wanted it in Dallas, and Fort Worth people wanted in built in Fort Worth.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
I had to return to Wisconsin a couple of years ago and I think I found your website myself on Google while asking about "Great Art Shows in the Midwest" and it has been helpful! Thank You!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I was in a music video called "Ride" by Sir Mix-A-Lot in the 90's and it was featured and made fun of on "The Bevis and Butthead Show".
