Years in the Art Fair Business
1
First show ever
It was in Evanston, IL but so many years ago I do not remember the name.
What are the best things about art fairs
Sharing my passion with the visitors. Getting feedback directly from potential customers. Meeting other artists.
Best show ever and why
I am returning to the art fair circuit after a couple of decades away. Besides the show I did last weekend, I have two upcoming shows at the end of August and early to mid-September. So at this time I am unable to answer this question.
Worst show ever and why
I recently did a show where I did not sell anything however the show was well run and the volunteers were terrific. So even though I did not make back my expenses which technically makes it my worst show ever, I do not want to name the show because otherwise it earned high marks in my opinion.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
Bob Reiberg - ceramic artist I was introduced to Bob by a mutual friend. He is kind enough to meet with me and offer some advice from someone who has done the art fair circuit for many, many years.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
Prior to pursuing my textile design business, I was an associate professor in a fashion design department at an art school in Chicago.
