What are the best things about art fairs
Interacting with customers. Getting the feedback on my work. Making the sales!
Best show ever and why
The second or third show I did when someone came into my booth and asked me if I was the artist. All of a sudden, it hit me. I was, finally, really an artist.
Worst show ever and why
Naples Art in the Park in February. It rained all morning. It was windy and cold -- unusual for February in Naples. We were able to open the show for a couple of hours and had a dribble of people.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
I googled a jewelry artist who had won Best in the Show at the Naples National. I was referred to Art Fair Insiders and thought it might help me.

Hi Charlotte,
Getting into the more competitive shows is grueling. But yesterday (Hurrah) we were taken off the wait list and accepted to a huge show in Arlington Heights, IL. The thrill is amazing.
There are lots of folks here from Florida and I know lots of shows there.
Best of Luck!

Sorry for the long delay in responding to your comment - actually I commented back the same day - but I noticed that being new to this site - I commented to myself! So since you didn't recieve the first one I will paste it at the end of this
March 8th -I wasn't very active in the art community until around five years ago - right when you left- sorry. I have been sort of stirring the pot in the area since then though. Help start a networking group of artists called the Bohemian Art Society - it's a group of artists that show in the area that get together once a month or so and share what works and what doesn't at local shows. We probably have a lot of mutual friends. Tom
