What are the best things about art fairs
For me it is travel and exploration, and the opportunity to grow artistically.
Best show ever and why
Lots of shows are worthy of consideration for different reasons: from financial success or awards received or how well managed the event is, to just a fantastic setting and beautiful weather... but I guess I will say Art Fair Jackson Hole 2006. It became my favorite show and I did it a couple more times basically just because of how awesome that area is, and the artistic environment that exists there.
Worst show ever and why
Town Art Show, Overland Park, Kansas 2002 (First and only time!) This was the first annual, but I took a chance on it. Everything about it was inferior. It was hot, the attendance was bad, the layout in a hot parking lot was bad... but the most terrible thing of all was that the merchants did not want us there and treated us like trash. The graphics should have been my first clue, because they looked like they were done by an amateur. I know people who continued to do it, but to my knowledge it never got much better and I think it is no more!(?)
