Best show ever and why
Edina Art Fair, 2010. I sold almost everything in my booth by the end of the 3-day show. I had a bet with my neighbor that I would sell out of a certain item, and I did! The only bad thing was that I had another show the following weekend and was panicking that I wouldn't have enough product to take.
Worst show ever and why
It's a toss-up. I decided to try the Brookings SD art fair in 2013 after several people told me I should do well. I guess I didn't consider that the plains are quite windy all year - people didn't want to purchase my outdoor glass items for fear they would break. The other worst one was at Phelps Mill Festival in 2010. I have done this show for many years and it was always in a grassy park under the big shade trees. That year they moved it to the asphalt parking lot because the park was flooded - but the temps that weekend were over 100 degrees, and the humidity made it feel like 115! Nobody came to the show and several of us went out and sat in the river to cool off. No sales that weekend either!
