What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting buyers face to face, and hearing their reactions to your work.
Best show ever and why
Crafty Feast, Columbia, SC. Sales were great. I was the only painter there surrounded by indie craft artists, so I stood out in the crowd.
Worst show ever and why
Ribs and Renaissance Fest, Columbia, SC. The craft side of the festival had been promoted well the year before by Crafty Feast. The year following, there was absolute chaos. No directions from staff, they pointed and said set your tent up over there. The festival was not promoted anywhere. I did not one sale (extremely uncommon), and to top it off, my tent died at this show.
