What are the best things about art fairs
People want to own your work so much they are willing to put down their hard earned money to own it, very gratifying.
Best show ever and why
Financially-Winter Park Emotionally- Mainsail. I had a booth on that backed up to the the bay. There were porpoises jumping about, 70 degrees, light wind, not too humid, I lean back, look up to hear and see parrots flitting about in the palm trees that are canopying me. A true day in heaven!
Worst show ever and why
Las Olas, October,2008- a freak storm came up from Miami. We set up in the rain and had two days of sideways rain blowing through, soaking every square inch of everything you owned. I lost 10/11 30x40 prints and many smaller ones. What a mess. Of course the Monday morning after the show was bright, sunny and windless.
