When we did FL shows in Jan/Feb we camped at Periwinkle on Sanibel Island so if you are looking for a good camping option it was very nice! Very clean and the spaces are VERY big...
This is amazing info - who knew you could cruise between shows in Florida, cheaper than staying in a hotel? I've used AirBnB a couple of times. The options are wide and the prices all over the place depending on what you are looking for.
In addition, in the midst of reading all the doom and gloom of the business these days, it's great to see that the "life style" carries on with some amazing perks.
I am doing 3 weeks in Jan east coast FL. I am going on a cruise between shows. Mon.--Friday perfect with Sat. set up. $250 for everything.
Hi Michael,
We would love to cruise between shows. We spent our mid week at a fishing camp in St Marks National Park, canoeing and canoeing...so beautiful and peaceful, about $74 a night. The $2 dollar breakfasts and super chillaxin vibe was exactly what the Art Show Doctor ordered! Please let us know what cruise companies you recommend. Thanks! Peace, Maureen
Maureen just figure out what port works best for you and then you can do a search. I try to avoid Carnival Cruise line. Ports for me this year that worked was Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Miami is the only one that has Mon-Fri cruises. NCL and Royal Caribbean had the dates I needed and were the same price. So I just picked which ports I wanted. I went with NCL. IMO Celebrity is one of the nicest. Happy Cruising :)

I used VRBO last year, but I am now into Air BnB. They are more flexible and have some interesting options. I also like to set up a mini studio and I want a kitchen. Also the location is really important to me. When I am on the road for a long time I like to set up a "home away from home" and FlipKey/Homeaway/VRBO and now Air BnB allow me to do that.
Does BnB mean Bring n Bottle?
Thanks Melanie. What price do you normally pay for a weekly or monthly stay? (This will be my first time doing this so Im a bit 'green'.) I am also used to bringing my bf, but he will be staying home kittysitting:)
You can get much better pricing if you go for a whole month. I had a great cottage 1/2 block from the beach in Hollywood last year for 3 months at $625 ( I think it was a converted detached garage turned into a studio) This year I am only doing 3 shows in Florida during Jan. So one week I am cruising Mon-Fri and the other week I found a 1 bedroom duplex thru Air BnB near University of Miami for $300 for the week.
